About the Old Workshop holiday cottage
The Old Workshop is a self-catering holiday cottage situated in the centre of the village of Castleton, Hope Valley, in the heart of the Peak District National Park. The cottage is graded 4 stars by Enjoy England.
The cottage has two en-suite double bedrooms and sleeps up to 4 people. One of the double beds can be made into twin beds, if required. Both bedrooms are on the ground floor.
The cottage has been tastefully converted and the ground floor has several exposed oak beams.
Entering the cottage, you find yourself in a hallway with stairs leading up and a bedroom on either side.
The bedroom on the left is the master bedroom, which has an en-suite bathroom and a king-sized double bed which can be re-arranged as two single beds if required. This is a large spacious room and is furnished with pine furniture.
On the opposite side of the entrance hall is the smaller double bedroom, which has an antique mahogany double bed and an en-suite shower room. Behind the stairs there is a back door leading to a small yard and a utility room which contains a washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board. There is also room to store walking boots here.
Going upstairs, you find it has an attractive open-plan layout. On the right-hand side there is a spacious kitchen/dining area with a well-equipped and newly fitted out kitchen, complete with cooker, hob, fridge-freezer, toaster and microwave and a dining area with pine dining table and pine chairs.
On the left-hand side of the stairs there is an attractive and well-furnished sitting room, with a settee and easy chairs, and a wide-screen TV complete with DVD player and a selection of DVDs. A range of books and maps relating to the area are also available, as are some games. All prices include bed linen and one bath towel and one hand towel per person.
Outside there is a small patio area with space to park one car. More parking space is available at the Bulls Head Inn carpark, which is about 200 metres away from the cottage.
The Old Workshop is a no smoking cottage and we regret we are unable to accept pets.
The Old Workshop and Laburnum Cottage have shared access and parking on the driveway outside each of the cottages.
The cottage is privately owned and the owners are local residents.
